Technology Service Corporation (TSC), a high technology, employee-owned, engineering firm, has an opening for a technical professional to work in the Washington DC area. TSC is seeking a senior radar engineer to support a defense radar acquisition program. Knowledge of radar theory and principles, and an understanding of radar system architecture and design are required. Be apart of a motivated and synergetic TSC team, and interact with the government and industry radar experts.
A senior radar engineer is needed to manage and oversee the software and hardware development of the data and signal processing software and equipment being developed on an ACAT-IA defense radar program. This position is for a lead engineer, representing the Government program office (PO), to work with the prime-contractor (Raytheon Co.) counterpart to resolve technical issues; coordinate the participation of all Government team members with their prime-contractor counterparts; status the government program office of issues; and provide recommendations for resolution of issues to the PO. Experience working with Raytheon Co. in the area of software development is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that the software meets A-SPEC functional requirements.
- Review and monitor the hardware and software development to ensure compliance
- Review and monitor the cost and schedule of the data and signal processing development.
- Assess software development risks
- Provide guidance on test plans and procedures required for sell off of data and signal processing software and hardware
- Provide reports to the program leadership
- Risk Reports
- Earned Value Management Reporting and Assessment
- Technical analyses and recommendations
- Meeting minutes and current issues
- Progress of development against schedule
Qualifications: A minimum 7 years of radar systems software experience is required. Program management experience is strongly desired. A B.S. or M.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics is required. U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions.
