Array Radar Analyst
Technology Service Corporation, an employee-owned systems engineering firm, is seeking analysts and engineers with expertise in adaptive array radar signal processing. We work in an exciting, collaborative environment on research and development programs for technologies to support future military sensor systems. Successful candidates will have theoretical and practical experience with modern adaptive signal processing techniques (e.g. MUSIC, principle components, eigen analysis, STAP) for radar and missile seeker detection, tracking, imaging and communications applications. Experience on current DOD systems as well as linear algebra and other applicable numerical and computational methods is a plus. Positions available in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Writing and presentation skills are essential. Responsibilities include defining system-level requirements, carrying out trade studies, defining system architectures, designing and developing radar, seeker, and communications modes and algorithms, conducting performance analyses, and developing simulations. Also includes generation of system/subsystem specifications including high tech hardware such as Active Electronically Scanned Antennas, wide band receivers, & advanced processors. MSEE or Ph.D. in EE specializing in signal processing for STAP applications preferred.

Beacon Systems Engineer
Technology Service Corporation, an employee-owned systems engineering firm, has an opening for an ATC beacon (secondary radar) systems engineer to work in Silver Spring MD.
The ATC beacon (secondary radar) systems engineer will support radar development, acquisition, and test program offices at the FAA. This job requires a broad secondary radar (including monopulse and Mode S) knowledge base encompassing theoretical understanding of secondary radar principles as well as several years experience in the ATC Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS) field. The job is to provide technical advice to the government customer and the radar manufacturer(s). In addition to strong technical skills, other necessary skills are the ability to interact with the customer and the prime contractors, a willingness to travel and to participate in meetings.
Desired beacon systems knowledge includes the following: transmitters, receivers, signal processing, data processing, interfaces to automation systems such as ARTS and STARS, and modeling/simulation of multipath and FRUIT effects.
Experience in CNS system testing including radar test data collection, reduction, and analysis and/or experience in NAS interface issues is desired.

Qualifications: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (with emphasis in signal processing, communications, or Kalman filters), Math, or Physics. U.S. Citizenship required for all positions. Signal
Processing Systems Engineer
Applicants should have broad knowledge of radar waveforms and signal processing techniques for shipboard radar and active missile seeker applications that provide robust performance in EMI, ECM, multipath, ducting, and clutter environments. Requires knowledge of Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Pulse Doppler (PD), Monopulse, Imaging, and Adaptive Techniques as well as detailed knowledge of the impact of errors on overall system performance. A minimum of 10 years experience and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics is required (an advanced degree is desirable.)
