Decision Support Systems
Decision Support Systems business is a growing segment at TSC. In this area, we provide specialized Geographic Information Systems products, IT services, hardware & software development, and enterprise architecture support and development. Under a series of SBIRs, TSC began development of algorithms to automatically extract terrain and cultural features from radar imagery. TSC developed feature extraction algorithms, soft copy photogrammetry to build three dimensional data bases of urban areas, and a variety of software products.
Examples of TSC’s work in this Area are:
- A data collection and command display processing for sensor information from UAVs and small satellites.
- The Logistics Site Planning and Operations Tool (LOGSPOT) which supports the Army’s requirement for a tool that provides siting, layout and operations support for forward
Class V Ammunition and Class III Fuel sites.
- The FIREFINDER Position Analysis System (FFPAS) which was funded by the Army for
the AN/TPQ-36 and -37 radars, and an AN/TPQ-46A version which was subsequently delivered to the Marine Corps (the model is now being distributed throughout the
Military Services).
- The Radar Support System (RSS) which is used for siting Air Traffic Control radars in
seven of nine FAA regions.
- DoDAF compliant systems architecture support for the ORS office, with emphasis on open standards integration.
